Safety in the studio...
There are many hazards in a studio. A strobe pack can have several lights hook up to it. This strobe pack can cause a electrical issue if someone were to spill a drink on it. Cords leading to and from it can cause tripping hazards knocking down the lights.
A model or someone can get too close to the backdrop and step on it bringing down the entire setup. Booms if not counter weighted correctly can tip over. Light stands that is overloaded can present issues. There are different types of light stands and one has to use the right ones for the job.
When, when you're dealing with lights on stands, one of the things I like to do is actually run the cord for the light underneath one of the legs on the light stand. The reason for that, if some trips over the cord, it just drags the light, or if it's not under the light stand, someone trips over, the light falls. If it's got a modeling light, you got models or people around, they'll try to catch it and if the modeling light is on it'll burn their hands. One thing I always tell visitors to my studio: if a light falls don't try to catch it. You'll just hurt yourself. Another big problem in a studio is the counterweight, that's on dums. This is about eight pounds of steel. When you're working on a set, a lot of times you're, you're concerned about what's going on and you're stepping over cords, you're stepping around dums, you're stepping around all kind of things. It's real easy to bend down working on something and bring your head up and hit this thing. This will cause real serious damage. You have to be real careful about that. That's why they should either be painted in a bright color or should have a ribbon sticking off of them, so that as you come up your head will feel the ribbon. Another thing, we've got power packs. These power packs are extremely powerful. You have to make sure when you plug in lights in or unplugging lights that you're turning all power switches off and discharge your lights, so that the power doesn't come through as you're disengaging the cable. It's very, very dangerous. The packs themselves will not hurt you as long as you treat them right. Another thing. When you've got any kind of modifier on the front of your strobes you can leave your modeling light on for a long time if you've got diffusers, or grids, barn doors, anything like that. They will get really, really hot. You have to be real careful about that, because when you go to adjust it you'll burn yourself.

Idea's...
Idea 1: For our first idea, we have thought about making a white cardboard number 2, painting a cardboard box white and filling the box with skittles. Once this has been done, the number 2 will be dropped into the box full of skittles.
We are hoping that once the number 2 has been dropped into the box the skittles and send the sweets into all different directions giving it a more dramatic effect. By doing this, a range of coloured sweets will catch the viewers eyes because the multicoloured sweets stand out a lot more seeing as everything else will be white.
To make this idea possible, we are looking at buying around 20-25 bags of skittles to fill the box to a certain extent of which is needed. When it will come to editing the video, it will be in slow motion. by slowing down the video, it builds a tension and a more dramatic effect.

Idea 2: For our second idea, I came up with the idea of making a human number 2. To make this possible, we will need around 14-20 people to form the shape on the number 2. Before everyone takes their position of the number 2, we will need to mark the spots of which they need to stand so they can walk into their spot without there being any hassle or confusion.
Everyone involved will simply walk into their spot, stay there between 5-10 seconds and walk away. this will be filmed from above in room CS103. This room is in the perfect position to film this because it is directly above where this will occur.
I like this idea because it is original and once it has been filmed, it will give an interesting effect and fun to watch.
Idea 3: For our final idea, we will make a plastic mold of the number 2 and then fill it with water, once this has been done, we will add red food colouring to the water. We shall do this by using a pippet and placing droplets of the food colouring in different points so that it will spread faster and look a lot better.
We will have to make the colour change look dramatic and effective, so to do this we will place the plastic 2 on a white background so the number 2 will go from white to red. Also by recording the droplets making contact with the water in slow motion, it will give a more detailed and dramatic effect.
We will have to take care of the food colouring and the white background of the studio because we don't want to stain the floor so, we will have to use a white towel and place it underneath the 2. This way the background will still be white and we get the lighting we need in the studio.

BBC One Christmas Ident 2007 - 'Penguins'
BBC 1's ident shows more creativity and the different style and use of animation and editing from another channel.
Channel 4 idents: Rocks
This is an example of channel 4's ident to show the difference in creativity and style of different channels idents. It wouldn't be possible for our group to produce a video like this because we have 6 weeks and can only use props and sets that are around us, we also dont have the experience and skills to be able to edit this and do all the animation and editing.

whatever type of material or props you see fit .
You must use the number ‘ 2 ‘ template to create
your own version .Your mini set construction may also be
made of any material and you will also
need masking tape, bulldog clips,G-clamps, string, cotton, scissors,
craft knife, paintbrushes, etc.
Your number 2 can be created at any scale, and also in any quantity.
