My stop frame video is a dance, I took inspiration from the Inbetweeners Movie and the dance to 'We speak no americano'. I tried to recreate this in my video, two people carried out the steps and every movement had to be slow so i could photograph every little step to be able to put the video together and make it flow properly. I used a Canon 5D camera to take my photo's, i also used Bowen studio lights when i shot in the studio. I used a plain white background for my video but i edited the video so that it looked like multicoloured disco lights were flashing.
I had a few problems with the camera not focusing, but we managed to get it right so i could take the pictures quicker. We were taking the pictures too quickly which is why the camera wouldnt focus. We also had a few problems with the photo's coming out too dark or too light so we connected a different lighting device to the camera instead of the wire that connected the camera to the lights, i think the wire was loose in the camera but the photo's came out better when we changed from the wire.
My initial idea was to create a music video but i changed it to a dance because it was the easiest thing to do on the day and i was more into the idea of making a dance on the day. My video isn't as good as i'd want it to be or as long as i'd want it to be, but i am happy with the final outcome. If i were to do it again i'd make it more complex and make the time longer. I only shot my video in one day and it only took less than an hour, so i think next time if im more organised and have more time then i can make my video more detailed and less simple. I had to share the camera and the time in the studio with 5 other people so i think this is why i didnt make my video exactly how id want it.

My Final Stop Motion Video
This is my final stop motion video, I created it in Windows Live Movie Maker. I added all the photo's into the software in order, then adjusted the speed they played so the pictures flowed more as a video. I added a song and cut it to fit the video, i also added an effect of flashing disco lights that change colour.

Stop frame photography 2
Today we went out and took photo's as if it was a recording, we had to move slightly each time to create the video look. In this video we decided to do a playground theme so i held on to a rotating play thing and lift my legs as if i was spinning around, i did this for every picture and just gradually got around the swing. For the second part of the video Charley and Jordon stood on the zip-wire platform and pictured me running off the platform and getting to the end of wire.
Creating my video...
I put all the photo's into iMovie
Then i edited the speed to make the pictures flow as a video, then added the music.

Ideas...
1- Walking.
2 - Music Video.
3 - Dancing.
I think i'm going to make a music video for my assignment. I'll take experience from the girl's video who did a stop frame video to the song ''Hey soul sister''. She wrote parts of the song on paper and her hands and made it look like they were typing out as the song played. I'm going to do something similar to this, but to a song of my choice.
Song choices:
Nicki minaj ft Rihanna - Fly
P Money ft Anthemic - Magnetic Man
